PDO threads are special dissolvable threads which dissolve in 6 months. They have been used in heart surgery for many years and are perfectly safe.
When injected they create 3 effects.
- Lift the skin
- Tighten the skin by promoting collagen and elastin.
- Smooth the skin by promoting the formation of hyalauronic acid, which improves skin hydration/moisturisation. Wrinkles will be reduced and crepe like skin will look more youthful.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied one hour before, which dramatically reduces any discomfort from the injections. It is a relatively comfortable procedure.
